This is one..of many variations on this image I did a few weeks back, and is the most complete/successful.

Okay.
The robot/Battlemech is a Vulture/Mad Dog;
I referenced it from [link]
The Planet is supposed to be Ironhold (and I had spotty reference..so it could be any Jade Falcon planet)
The Bird is a Jade Falcon (obiviously) As Previously pointed out....it looks more like an eagle. But so does the damn JF logo. So...yeah. Artistic licence.

This was an exercise in using the airbrush. Completely, which is a first for me, because I like using pencil/paint tools in Painter. It was also an attempt to draw a Battlemech. And I think I did pretty well.

In conclusion, Battletech, Clans, Jade Falcon and 'Mechs c) FASA/WIZKIDS

Yay, mech art! I think you did quite well. The background is a little sparse, and the lower right of the image seems a little blank, there really isn't anything to balance it with the rubble on the left. The mech itself is very well done, and I really like the falcon and how the eyes are the same colour as the sky.

Any plans to do anything similar for any of the other clans? (or Inner Sphere, *cough*)

Still lovin' this. :D

The only thing that bugs me is that a Summoner or Kit Fox would've fit better, considering they're both primarily Falcon mechs -- it's good as it is, though.

Awesome! You've actually inspired me to do some Battletech fanart as well. I'm doing one for Clan Ghost Bear, and it's still very much a WIP. I love how you did the highlights on the mech, and the scattered parts and Mech pose give it a good atmosphere. Naturally, the Jade Falcon rocks my socks. ^__^

I forgot 'bout the Summoner (I mean duh! it was Aiden Pryde's fav. Battlemech) I thought the Uller/Kit fox was more a Wolf/'Yote mech but anyway.

I like Chicken leg mechs. <3 so cute.
